Lee
Lee West, the founder of Energy Pathways. With a background that spans from hands-on experience to advanced education, Stephen has created this platform that changes the way powerline, underground, and substation workers approach their training and development.
Starting his journey as an apprentice line worker in 2006, He quickly progressed to become a glove and barrier line worker by 2012. His thirst for knowledge led him to complete an Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, equipping him with a unique blend of practical skills and educational expertise.
Stephen's passion lies in creating and delivering engaging training experiences for those entering the power industry. He understands the critical importance of comprehensive knowledge and understanding in such a high-risk working environment. This drive for safety and excellence is at the heart of Energy Pathways.
Recognising the need for better recruitment and training processes, Stephen developed an innovative assessment platform. This tool aids companies and recruiters in selecting the best candidates for positions, ultimately improving retention rates and overall employee satisfaction throughout their training programs. Through Energy Pathways, Stephen combines his industry experience, educational background, and passion for teaching excellence.

Alpa
Alpa Vithalani, is our specialised mathematics tutor with 12 years experience. Alpa is passionate about teaching mathematics in a way that develops problem-solving skills and challenges students positively. In each lesson, she creates a fun, safe space where questions are encouraged, and significant progress is achieved.
Since completing her mathematics degree in 2011, Alpa has honed her skills in helping each individual student grow. Her approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of our power industry employees, trainees and apprentices, ensuring they develop the mathematical foundation necessary for success in the power industry.
Alpa's tutoring programs are designed to support our staff in mastering the mathematical concepts crucial for their Certificate 2, 3 and 4 qualification. Her expertise and engaging teaching style make complex topics accessible and enjoyable.

​David is a power industry veteran with over 35 years of experience spanning Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland. For the past five years, David has been dedicating his extensive knowledge to training the next generation of powerline workers.
David's expertise covers a wide range of areas, including apprentice training, switching and operating, refresher courses, and everything in between. His comprehensive understanding of the industry ensures that our trainees receive practical, up-to-date instruction that directly applies to their work in the field.
In addition to his training role, David has been instrumental in our recruitment processes. His invaluable assistance in creating our pre-employment screening test has significantly enhanced our ability to identify and select the most promising candidates for the power industry.
